Our Mission
It’s simple; we want to become the #1 online IOT guide for female consumers.
To do this, all of our posts are written from a woman’s point of view using personal stories and simple definitions to explain how women can use the Internet of Things to better manage their lives and family.
At Connected Chic (prounounced shēk, NOT chick), we reduce complex solutions into simple knowledge bites that are both interesting and relatable. You don’t have to have a PhD in quantum physics to understand how IOT devices such a fitness watches, connected appliances, or smart lightbulbs can bring organization to your home. All you need is someone to explain it to you in terms you understand.
Why Should Women Be Interested in the Internet of Things?
There are hundreds, if not thousands, of companies who claim to sell IOT products and connected devices. However, how can they develop products for the home if they are not listening to the needs of their main customers: women? And how can women trust that companies are creating safe products that fit their unique lifestyle? As the saying goes: You don’t know what you don’t know.
That’s why ConnectedChic.com was created- to help women drive the Internet of Things narrative. Our females readers deserve to have a voice in deciding how technology will change the world in which they live and raise their children. But they can’t be a part of the discussion, if they don’t know what technology is available to them. It’s our hope that our IOT-focused articles, reviews, and interviews will help give them that power.
